Company FINCA Helped the Citizens of Pokrovka Village With Water Supply
Branches of the company FINCA work in 26 cities and towns and rayon centers of the republic. One of them is located in Kyzyl-Adyr, where citizens of Pokrovka village applied. Pokrovka village is a center of one of rayons of the Talas province. They have unsolved problems here as elsewhere. In particular, problem with water supply has being unsolved in the region for 37 years.
So, the village with population of about seven and half thousand people used to consume water from water springs and other natural sources during many years. For the students of single incomplete secondary school in the village, it meant daily duty. Probably, the ordinary schoolchildren would be happy to spend two lessons under open sky, but these kids eager to study. While the country faces complex situation with migration, the young specialists return to Pokrovka village to work in spite of all challenges. In winter time, it is unpleasant to walk with buckets full of water. Such situation is lasting since remote 1976, when the school was just constructed in the village.
By Seiylkan Abdykadyrova, the school director, it was her request, “water voyages of the children crossing automobile road were caused by extreme needs. The parents and teachers were anxious about safety and performance of the kids”.
The FINCA’s administration made decision to help this school. Team of the Kyzyl-Adyr branch procured necessary building materials, sinking water pump, and contracted workers. Within month, work was completed, and well is operated. Both the teachers and kids are happy. New well is significant acquisition for whole village.
