Master Class for Farmers

In early April FINCA company conducted master class on spring trimming of fruit trees for the farmers of Kara-Balta and Sokuluk.

Correct tree trimming forms the crown of a tree, increases the crops, enhances the quality of fruits, increases resistance to cold and rejuvenates trees.

The seminar participants, who eagerly responded to the invitation of FINCA Company to attend the training, have learned this and other information.

The trainers of the Training, Consultation and Innovation Center, who have a broad experience of training and consulting farmers, were invited to conduct the master class.

At the seminar participants became familiar with the peculiarities associated with the formation of tree crown and principles of trimming used for various fruit trees. They received information on the methods and types of trimming, on correct treatment of cuts. Trainers also shared their experience on how to trim young trees, as well as trees with high-positioned branches.

Following the theoretical part, participants got an opportunity to try in practice the skills obtained. After splitting into groups, under supervision of coaches, farmers worked up apple trees in the garden of one of the master class participants.

This seminar is one of the training events scheduled for 2012 under FINCA program for support of farmers in the republic.
