A social event with such name was held by microcredit company FINCA with a view to support educational and medical institutions of Osh and Djalal-Abad, as well as of Bazar-Korgon settlement in Djalal-Abad oblast.

As part of the event “Peace to our home” a wide spectrum of medical equipment, such as: portable electrocardiograph, surgical tables and lights, gurneys for transportation of patients with detachable hand frames, laryngoscopes, microscopes, rectoscopes, anoscopes, racks for blood and medicine transfusion, couches, medical lockers, sets of surgical, traumatological, neurosurgical, otolaryngological and ophthalmological aids, as well as air conditioners and furniture were given to Osh interregional unified clinical hospital and to Branch of territorial hospital No.2 in Osh.
– It is pleasant to receive support, especially this large, – the director of Osh interregional hospital Shayirbek Sulaimanov shared with us his emotions. – This equipment means a lot to us, since it will help to sufficiently improve the services provided to our patients, of whom there are many thousands in our hospital.
32 schools in Osh, Djalal-Abad and Bazar-Korgon also took part in the event and received the total of 134 computers and 16 multifunctional printers “three in one” (printer, scanner, copier). In some schools these computers appeared to be the first ones – in Osh schools No. 15 named after Kurbanov and No. 17 named after Gagarin, in Djalal-Abad children’s psycho-neurological boarding school.

The event “Peace to our home” wasn’t limited to provision of equipment. For senior students of three major schools of Osh, Djalal-Abad and Bazar-Korgon a number of developmental lessons devoted to the matters of tolerance and world diversity was held. The lessons were conducted by professional psychologists in interactive, “live” format through group work with the elements of social and psychological training and art- therapy techniques. The lessons covered 450 senior students, of them 150 – in Osh, 170 – in Djalal-Abad and 130 – in Bazar-Korgon.

– Senior students find themselves on the threshold of adult life, and already now they have to make core decisions, defining their position towards themselves, to the people and to the surrounding world– expressed the purpose of the lessons Mahmud Saidahmatov, the CEO of FINCA Kyrgyzstan. – When 15-17 years old they are on the crossroads: position of social responsibility versus position of social irresponsibility. This choice in many terms depends on knowledge they obtain, on the experience of communicating with interesting, active people, on the opportunity to be heard.

During the lessons, the students had a dialogue with each other on tolerance, spoke on widening horizons and outlook, and even looked into the future. At the end of the lessons, the students used color paper to decorate a tree, which symbolized man and his/her way, and which is also a symbol of FINCA company – with their wishes for the future.
