The Kyrgyzstan national team consisting of 17 skaters participated in international figure skating contest “The 2012 Golden Cup of Dubai Figure Skating Championship” in Dubai on April 28 and 29.

Young sportsmen of the figure skating school have won 5 awards, of which 4 are golden medals and 1 is a silver medal!

One of the gold medal winners – 11-year old Vanessa Aldekova was able to participate in the contest thanks to FINCA support.
The gold for Kyrgyzstan was also won by Danil Svetlichny, Alima Isenbaeva and Karina Uraimova, Daniela Omarova became a holder of silver medal.
The figure skaters from more than 15 counties, namely Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Lithuania, Belorussia, Ukrain, Check Republic, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Egypt, India, Sweden etc. took part in the contest. Judging during the contest was performed under the ISU system by the international judges from the USA, Russia and the European Union.
The 2012 Golden Cup of Dubai Figure Skating is held for the second year and is open for all coming junior figure skaters from 3 to 18 years old.
