In late March a colorful sales exhibition “Bazar Art” took place in Tashkent. Artisans and craftsmen from across Uzbekistan have got together to demonstrate their works. For the first time in the 5-year history the artisans of social shop “Koldo shop” took part in this large-scale event, which became possible thanks to the financial support provided by FINCA company.

“Bazar-Art” sales exhibition is one of the significant projects of “Culture and Art Forum of Uzbekistan” public association. This event has been conducted for the tenth time already, and it attracts many guests from all over the world. The objective of the project is to help young talented artisans in the area of traditional and modern decorative and applied arts to develop their potential and familiarize general public with the tendencies existing in this sphere.
Social shop “Koldo shop” presented the works of Kyrgyzstan craftsmen and artists at the exhibition, the major part of which was created by foster kinds of orphanages, physically challenged people and needy retired people.
The group that represented Kyrgyzstan in the cultural project included artisans from Bishkek social orphanage “Svetlyi put” and Issyk-Kul studio “Altin Oymok”.
The organizers of “Bazar-Art” sales exhibition gave a warm welcome, having awarded one of the participants of the Kyrgyzstan delegation with diploma.
The event was visited by the representatives of officials and businessmen, artists, admirers of Oriental art, who have highly appraised the work and quality of the craftsmen from Kyrgyzstan. The evidence to that are not only good sales, but also successful networking with local craftsmen.
Thus the participation of social project “Koldo shop” in “Bazar-Art” sales exhibition is not only the first travel abroad for its representatives, but also is the beginning of a promising international cooperation.
