On May 26th FINCA Bank’s branch in Kerben held a festive event “Suyunchu” in honor of the official opening of the bank. The event coincided with the opening of a savings bank in Ala-Buka.
FINCA Bank made presentations on the results and perspectives of the Project on Financial Literacy at the International Forum on bankingheld in Bishkek, on May 22, 2015.
During the session on financial literacy partners and guests were presented “The Financial Literacy” Project’s results for the past three years. Also there was a presentation of the textbook for students of higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan, which was developed in partnership with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
More than 15 000 people underwent training free of charge for 3 years of active work of the project team consisting of the project originators (or writers), trainers, managers, curators of FINCA Bank. The audience included entrepreneurs, teachers, housewives, students, teenagers living in more than 400 settlements of the country.
More than 100 educational materials and publications for print and online publications in Kyrgyz and Russian languages were prepared. The training material specially designed for senior classes of secondary schools was developed in 2015.
