A year ago “FINCA Bank” CJSC launched the product UNOM, which was developed jointly with  KyrSEFF  and is designed for carrying out energy efficiency measures in homes, in apartment blocks or in industrial premises.

The Agreement on opening of the credit line in the amount of USD 5 million was signed to launch the product. US$ 2 million – to finance the loans under the Kyrgyz Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (KyrSEFF) program, and US$ 3 million – for the development small and medium-sized businesses.

The aim of the developed product is to improve the condition of the premises and to reduce the costs for energy consumption.  The main advantage of this product for the borrowers is that they can receive a grant up to 30% of the loan amount upon presentation of all the necessary documents.

During 2014 thanks to the product UNOM 101 clients of “FINCA Bank” CJSC were able to carry out energy-efficiency measures, ranging from installation of air conditioners, heating boilers and insulation of the houses. A client of Osh branch was the very first one who received the grant in the amount of USD 128. And to date a client of Bishkek branch received the largest amount of grant in the amount of USD1 597.

According to borrowers, UNOM is a good opportunity to improve living conditions and to promote an energy-saving culture.

In total within this credit line 101 loans in the amount of 14 761 274 KGS were disbursed for energy-efficiency measures.
