Today, a press conference devoted to launching of “Global Money Week” in Kyrgyzstan was held. Global Money Week is a global campaign, which is aimed at development of culture of saving and provision of financial knowledge to the children and young people.

The Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Tolkunbek Abdygulov, the President of PLE “Kyrgyzstan Banks Union” Anvar Abdraev, the deputy Executive Director of the State Agency on Deposit Protection of Kyrgyzstan Samatbek Dzhumashev, the regional Manager of Eastern Europe and Central Asia “Child and Youth Finance” Karina Avakyan, and the Chair of Board “Policy Development Institute” Nadezhda Dobretsova took part at the press-conference.

The participants told the mass media representatives about coming events in the country in a framework of the Global Money Week, international experience related to similar actions and work on enhancing of financial knowledge among the population in Kyrgyzstan in general, emphasizing that numerous financial institutions promote financial knowledge independently. Anvar Abdraev pointed out FINCA is an active participant of the Global Money Week almost the second year.
