FINCA Bank has sponsored the first Asian Chess Championship among people with disabilities.

On September 21, the high-profile award ceremony took place in the Jannat Regency hotel. During the ceremony, the winners were awarded with prizes and presents. In total, more than 12o sportsmen from 10 countries took part in the chess tournament.
Among the acoustically challenged chess players, the winners were Talantbek uulu Bektur from Kyrgyzstan in the age category up to 12 years old, Kozhakmatov Sultan from Kazakhstan and Karybekova Sabina from Kyrgyzstan in the age category up to 18 years old, Tumanbayar Tserengav from Mongolia and Gorohova Natalia from Kazakhstan in the age category older than 18.

Among the visually challenged sportsmen the following chess players have captured gold: Rabi Amir from Iran in the age category up to 12 years old, до 18 лет – Karimi Omid from Iran and Bolotbekova Madina from Kyrgyzstan in the age category from 12 to 18 years old, Hamadov Suhrob from Tajikistan and Sargazi Seddighen from Iran in the age category older than 18 years old.

Among the chess players being locomotor patients the winners are Bektemir uulu Ramazan from Kyrgyzstan in the age group up to 18 years old, and in the age category older than 18 years old – Shashihant Kutval from India and Ostriy Irina from Kyrgyzstan.
